With their higher weight and often higher speeds, e-bikes place different demands on brake pads than classic bikes. That's why Kool-Stop has developed a pad that is specially adapted for use on e-bikes. Between the organic pad mixture and the steel carrier plate there is a ceramic layer that does not transfer the brake heat to the brake calliper and thus effectively counteracts overheating of the brake and fading problems.
